Polly is the hat that lives in the car, the beach bag and the back of the pram — hand-woven in Nepal from a breathable hemp and cotton blend, with a wire in the brim so you can shape it however you like, then squash it flat and forget about it. It stretches a little for a comfortable fit and feels cool on your head in the heat.
Hobo & Hatch are a Western Australian label from Quindalup who make everything slowly from natural fibres. I keep one of these by the back door for spontaneous gardening or supervising children. A lovely one for a birthday, or to tuck into a beach-day gift bundle.
