Maeve is the gentle one. Her character tag tells you she loves chasing butterflies, finding daisies in the sun and sharing a picnic with Grandma, and that she's not keen on thunderstorms. She's part of the and the little dog laughed Storybook Collection — cotton-plush dolls with sleepy smiles and lightly freckled cheeks, each with a name and a story of her own.
Her chocolate-brown cotton-plush body, soft floppy ears and pink corduroy hands and feet are a joy to hold, and the baby-safe silicone face means she's fine from day one. These are the dolls I'd choose for a child who already has a thousand toys — they get kept, named and handed down.
A thoughtful new-baby or baby-shower gift, and lovely for a first birthday.
